She suggests basic, non-fat Greek yogurt which is super-high in protein and has no added sugar. Vitamin D fortifies milk and yogurt and also helps brain health.

2. OATS 

It’s hard to beat oatmeal at breakfast. Oatmeal is a whole grain, which you digest slowly, giving your brain and body steady energy.

And you get a bowlful of B vitamins and fiber as well as potassium, zinc, and vitamin E. “Most people don’t realize how important all that is for brain health,” Nolan says.

I recommend oatmeal food products for students to energize their brains, so as to function properly in the university.

3. BLUEBERRIES

One of nature’s perfect food products for university students is blueberries. blueberries are packed with nutrients that give them their deep-blue color. One study links blueberries to improved learning and memory.

Nolan recommends two servings (about 1 ½ cups) of fresh or frozen blueberries a day.

4. SALMONS

“The brains of university students need fat,”. Salmon is one of the strongest omega-3 fatty acid food products. it contains healthy fats that are good for the brain.

UCLA neuroscientist Fernando Gomez-Pinilla, Ph.D., recommends enjoying the Indian style of your salmon: ‘Curried salmon give you omega-3s mixed with turmeric, which is also good for the brain.’ Both wild-caught and farmer-raised salmon provide omega-3. The American Heart Association recommends two servings of 3.5-ounce fish each week.

5. WALNUTS

While all nuts have protein-shaped brain fuel and both omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, walnuts are best, says Nolan. One study found students who ate walnuts regularly were better at deductive reasoning. For nuts, the good fat is still fat and you don’t want to eat too much. Stick to a 1-unce serving every day — just enough to fit in your hand’s palm.

6. HEMP SEEDS.

Hemp seed is really a superfood products for university students, says Nolan. This contains a protein that activates students brains, omega-3s and -6s, as well as a number of antioxidants and other nutrients. The seeds of Cannabis sativa — also known as hemp — are mostly sold as a powder and are completely flexible. Their nutty flavor blends well with lots of baked goods and breakfast foods. Stir in oatmeal a few spoonfuls, mix with milk or yogurt, sprinkle on cereal or bake in muffins.

7. CHOCOLATE

Chocolate is brain food “It actually works by increasing blood supply to the brain.”

But chocolate is not all created equal. Milk chocolate has too little cacao to offer advantages, and white chocolate — not just chocolate — has no cacao. “Cocoa,” says Nolan, “is where you get protein and brain-power.”

Stick to dark chocolate, bittersweet, and no more than a few squares a day, about half an ounce. Or spice up your Greek yogurt with a tablespoon of cocoa powder. Evite alkalized or Dutch cocoa processing, which has fewer antioxidants than regular cocoa.

8. DARK GREEN VEGETABLES

Spinach, asparagus, broccoli, and Brussels sprouts all provide folate, which Gomez-Pinilla says appears crucial to brain function. Eat a good mix of veggies rather than favoring just one or two, so you get a mix of nutrients, he adds.

9. BEANS

Bring on the burritos! Beans contain high-quality vitamins such as calcium, magnesium, and B, all of which support your brain function. Since beans do have tons of fiber and complex carbohydrates, you’ll digest them gradually over the course of the day and profit from them.

Nolan says all beans have about the same quantities of protein and fiber around the board. We also constitute good sources of omega-3s and antioxidants, particularly kidney beans. Nolan suggests attempting to eat half to two-thirds cup of beans per day, which makes them excellent food products for university students.

10. COFFEE

Caffeinated coffee gives you a shot of caffeine in the early morning and it will help you focus in small doses, says Nolan. The keyword here is “thin.” Whether you are a latte, mocha, or cappuccino drinker, stick to 8-ounce cups instead of large-sized servings to prevent caffeine jitters — and extra calories.
